Category and product SEO for a US computer store
Fateka is a US online retailer of computers, electronics and related components. Its BigCommerce catalog included desktops, monitors, laptops, accessories and graphics cards. The campaign focused on the homepage and selected product categories alongside wider product searches.

The search challenge.
Computer and electronics retailer · BigCommerce
The store operated in a competitive retail market and needed clearer priorities for its main pages. The source also describes a lack of unique content across categories, subcategories and products, together with technical issues that required attention within the existing platform.
What the team worked on.
Homepage and category priorities
The client and team agreed on general computer-store searches for the homepage and key categories such as desktops, monitors and graphics cards. The campaign also considered relevant terms for the broader product range.
BigCommerce technical improvements
Work covered speed within the platform’s constraints, metadata and headings, 404 pages, robots directives, image alt text, structured data and sitemap coverage. The team also provided usability and conversion recommendations without reporting a measured conversion-rate result.
A division of content responsibilities
Semalt prepared content for the homepage and the graphics-card category, while the client developed unique descriptions for product pages. That collaboration addressed the content gaps described in the source.
Promotion for the selected pages
The link campaign followed the content work and supported the homepage, categories and subcategories. The published strategy began with more specific searches before extending to broader terms.
The before and after comparison.
The four-month comparison reports monthly organic visitors increasing from 417 to 1,261 and Google TOP 10 keywords from 58 to 3,125. Some individual-position claims in the narrative differ from the dated keyword table, so they are not repeated here. Traffic and keyword counts do not establish order volume or revenue.
| Metric | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly organic visitors | 417 | 1,261 |
| Keywords in Google TOP 10 | 58 | 3,125 |

Original Semalt publicationConnect the work with the business.
The project illustrates how a store’s category plan, technical fixes and content responsibilities can be coordinated. Its BigCommerce context and historical work should be distinguished from the scope of a current ecommerce service agreement.
These results belong to the original campaign. They do not describe the website’s current performance or predict results for another business.
The work combined technical changes, content and promotion. Today’s service scope, implementation responsibilities and pricing are agreed separately.
