International SEO for a B2B equipment catalog
EGL is a China-based manufacturer of geophysical equipment used in geological exploration. The project focused on its English-language catalog and international searches for specialist products, including hydrophones, geophones, connectors and geophysical cables.

The search challenge.
Geophysical equipment manufacturer
The website needed to reach buyers in a narrow technical market. The starting priorities were to identify relevant searches for individual product categories, improve pages that could answer those searches and address technical issues across the catalog. The homepage was added to the promotion scope later for broader terms.
What the team worked on.
Research around product categories
The team researched relevant terms for each priority category and reviewed queries where the site already appeared in Google’s first 100 results. Those findings informed the category targets and the wider campaign.
Technical cleanup across the catalog
Work included redirect and HTTPS consistency, canonical tags for duplicate product URLs, broken links and 404 handling, robots directives and an updated sitemap. Product structured data and image optimization were also part of the published work.
Category content and page metadata
The homepage and priority categories received keyword-focused titles, descriptions and headings. Unique category and homepage copy was written and published, while duplicate content and multiple H1 headings were addressed.
Promotion and continued review
A link campaign supported the priority categories and other relevant queries with existing visibility. The source also describes continued monitoring for technical errors during the broader FullSEO campaign.
The before and after comparison.
The published comparison reports monthly organic visitors rising from 23 to 566 and Google TOP 10 keywords from 10 to 694. The original publication gives differing campaign durations, so no exact month count is attached to these figures. They describe the combined historical work.
| Metric | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly organic visitors | 23 | 566 |
| Keywords in Google TOP 10 | 10 | 694 |

Original Semalt publicationConnect the work with the business.
This project illustrates a category-first approach to a specialist B2B catalog: connect product terminology with useful pages, address the website foundations and review promotion alongside those changes. The reported traffic does not isolate the contribution of any one activity.
These results belong to the original campaign. They do not describe the website’s current performance or predict results for another business.
The work combined technical changes, content and promotion. Today’s service scope, implementation responsibilities and pricing are agreed separately.
