However, imagine that you can provide your customers with free and quick shipping. How can it affect your sales and improve your Amazon FBA ranking? Implementing Amazon FBA services, you can directly ship your items to an Amazon warehouse, and they take care of the rest for you (customer support, delivery, shipping, etc.) So, if you deliver Amazon a sope of your items you want to retail, Amazon will pack and ship each of those products to you as they are sold. All in all, if you are going to retail more than forty items per month, it is reasonable to implement a Professional account. If you are interested in drop shipping, individual seller account will be enough for you. 

Once you have selected a suitable account type, you will need to login or create an Amazon account using your current email address. Moreover, you will need to indicate a charging method, seller information, and identify verification.

After that, you will need to verify your identity through message or call. Now, your account is ready and you can immediately start selling it. 

All you need at this stage is to list the items you want to sell. On the initial stage, it is essential to pick up the products to market that will brain you a benefit in future. These product ideas can come from anywhere, starting with your own experience, and finishing with Amazon search. The best thing is to create a list of product ideas, and then check each item on relevancy level and sales volume to narrow down this list. Moreover, you can research products that already have a good sales rank and verify selling that same product with a slight modification or innovation idea. Avoid selling too competitive items as you won’t win a Buy Box for them. There are numerous free and paid tools on the web that serve to assist you with your Amazon product research. If you are going to do your research manually, you should first conduct competitor and demand analysis to determine the search volume and the level of competition for each product. 

List your items on Amazon

Once you have accomplished your selling account, you need to list the things you want to retail. To add your first product, you need to go to the “Inventory” section and click on the “Add product” button. Here you will need to search for your product using product name or barcode. The only case when you do not need to create your product is when you are selling the items you have manufactured. 

After that, you will need to add some essential product details and features. The main things you need to enter include - the price of the item, what condition your item is in, and whether you want Amazon to ship the item or you want to make it by yourself. 

Talking about the pricing policy, I would like to indicate that at the beginning of your business development you should price your inventory slightly lower than the lowest price available on the market. 

What about the product conditions, you should provide your potential customers with the full, honest, and descriptive information. Moreover, you will be much more likely to sell it if you offer and additional description. I do not recommend you to sell your inventory in a better condition than it is. Do not try to game Amazon system and your customers as it will cause a lot of negative consequences such as adverse feedbacks, compliances, ranking drop, and others. 

And finally, you need to make sure you select Amazon fulfillment services to let Amazon ship and provide customer services for you. It is essentially the “I want to use FBA option” button you need to click on to confirm your decision. 

Ways to convert your items to fulfillment by Amazon items

On this stage, you will need to convert your items to FBA items. To do this, you will need to go to the “inventory” section and select “The Inventory Management” option. Here you need to find “Actions” drop-down and select “Change to Fulfilled by Amazon” function. Here you need to select between two Amazon options - “FBA Label Service,” and “Commingled Inventory.” 

If you are going to retail new inventory, I advise you to use “Commingled Inventory” function. According to this feature, Amazon will commingle your products with other sellers’ matching units. In this case, if your customers purchase your inventory, they will be provided with the matching or related units from different sellers, but in a warehouse close to the customer.

Amazon “FBA Label Service” function can appear even more beneficial for you. According to this function, Amazon will put a label on your items, instead of you doing it yourself. From one side, you sell your inventory by Amazon label, attracting users who regard Amazon as a reliable seller. From another hand, you may consider printing your stickers and labeling your products. It will help you to stand out from the crowd and improve your brand awareness.
