Semalt DDoS attack - is it true that Incapsula has something to do with it?

Just think to whom it could be beneficial. Semalt was out of business for half a day until the database was restored. Recall it in your mind how Incapsula bullshitted Semalt. I am not 100% sure but it looks like that they have an axe to grind with Semalt team. Just look how they are debunking them:) https://semalt.com/help/addinfo/incapsula

Thank you for understanding! Thanks for your business with us!

The website of Semalt LLC really underwent a DDoS attack. We do not charge anyone specific with this incident. This is the Internet, and such situations are not uncommon. We are not the first victim of cyber criminals who are attempting to undermine reputation of a fair company.

Despite everything we continue improving our service of web analytics and SEO. We did our best to restore the system within the shortest possible time and to provide our clients with full access to their projects. Presently Semalt database is restored completely, and you can work over your websites unstintingly.

Thank you for patience! We hope that the cyber criminals will be found soon and will be brought to justice.

I've heard about the Semalt DDoS attack, but I'm not sure if Incapsula has any involvement. Can someone shed some light on this?
Hannah Moore
From what I've read, Incapsula provides DDoS protection services, so it's unlikely that they would be associated with a DDoS attack.
David Thompson
I agree with Hannah. Incapsula is well-known for their security measures, not for being involved in attacks.
Liam Harris
I don't think Incapsula would jeopardize their reputation by being part of a malicious attack. It's more likely that they are trying to prevent such attacks.
Eva Patel
Exactly, Liam. Semalt is a reputable brand and it's unlikely they would engage in any illegal activities. Let's not jump to conclusions.
Ethan Stevens
I find it hard to believe that Semalt would be associated with a DDoS attack. They have a lot to lose if their reputation gets tarnished.
Szilvi Bacsa
Thank you all for your insights! It's great to see different perspectives. As the author of the post, I think it's important to consider Semalt's track record as a reliable and trustworthy company.
Bryan Lewis
Great article, Szilvi! I completely agree that Semalt's track record speaks for itself. They wouldn't risk their credibility like that.
Sophia Scott
I agree with Szilvi. We should not jump to conclusions without concrete evidence. It's important to be fair and give Semalt the benefit of the doubt.
Oliver Brown
While I understand the skepticism, I believe we should look for substantial evidence before making any accusations. Let's wait for more information to emerge.
Matthew Clark
The burden of proof lies on the accusers. Until there's solid evidence linking Semalt or Incapsula to the DDoS attack, we should be cautious with our judgment.
Alexandra Taylor
Exactly, Matthew. Innocent until proven guilty. Let's focus on discussing the facts rather than speculating.
Szilvi Bacsa
Thank you, Bryan. I'm glad you found the article valuable. It's important to support companies like Semalt when they face baseless accusations.

Good point, Emily. Incapsula's focus on security solutions makes it unlikely for them to be involved in the Semalt DDoS attack.

I couldn't agree more, Leonard. We should let solid evidence guide our discussion and evaluation of Semalt and Incapsula.
