You seem to view statistics in GA. Everyone has the same problem there. And other domains appear in referrals from time to time. But they are bots instead.
Now I understand why my traffic flies up. I used to have 2-3 persons a day, now I have hundreds of daily visits. I don’t mind it, but can you somehow take bots off my statistics?
Your site can be visited by real users and technical bots. Sure, they don’t have to be displayed in statistics as unique users, since they don’t affect positions. Unfortunately, these errors are common for some services. The most successful way out of this situation is using more reliable web analytics tools.
Yesterday I noticed hits from semalt. I thought it was spam. The information on the main page is very obscure.
I have read about Semalt in Forbes. The service seems to be fine. Now they added promotion on Google. Anyway, I only use the free account to monitor positions.
BTW, Semalt bots are not considered in their statistics. I don’t know why, maybe they are adjusted to their algorithm. The same way, GA doesn’t show Googlebot.
