Can anyone provide a free SEO strategy plan that would be best-fitting for beginners?

Yes, I’ve got a nice free SEO strategy plan – with on-page optimization checklist in general – to help you quickly get started on your own site. But before we go any further, let’s face it – too often people tend to go through everything on checklists they find in the open access on the Internet. Doing so, the minute they realize there can be something too hard or even seemingly undoable – they accept failure and simply take a loss. But I personally believe that thinking about this in such way is a definitely wrong approach, at least from the viewpoint of the Search Engine Optimization. Put simply, employing the following checklist to complete as many stages of its free SEO strategy plan as you can – means you already deserve measurable ranking progress. Why? Just because the vast majority of other website owners, and novice online entrepreneurs, in particular, are too often thinking the wrong way – to admit defeat under the impression and abort the mission on short notice. So, here is a good action order to launching a performing strategy in free SEO and strategy plan to help you get everything in place with your website online promotion in Google’s SERPs. Once again, just do your best to complete as many things as possible – and should you have any complications, simply put it off for the further reference and keep moving towards the end of the list. All that being said, let’s finally run through the main stuff needed to that point.

Free SEO Strategy Plan: Beginner Checklist to Get Started

Tier One: Installing GA

Google Analytics (otherwise, GA) is arguably the most popular web analytics toolkit from the world’s online search giant, with a free version pulling together all we need for tracking and reporting general performance of any website or blog. From the viewpoint of free SEO and strategy planning, installing GA must be your first step taken before anything else – otherwise, you will be simply unable to track such important things like the amount of search traffic you’re getting so far, exactly which pages are pumping good traffic volume, whether you’ve got any weak spots (for example, too high bounce rate), as well as many other primary online metrics that will give you a clear vision of the overall website performance you’re working on so hard. So, make sure to install Google Analytics and consider having a deep-delve into GA Individual Qualification guidelines to get a big picture about the very basics of web analytics (of course, if you’re completely new to it).

Tier Two: Search Console Setup

It’s also a free basic toolkit designed by Google search engine itself to help everybody managing a website or blog. Formerly known as Webmaster Tools, Google’s Search Console (otherwise, SC) is meant to help with getting general data about the current status of the website, as well as its overall organic online performance in Google’s Search Engine Results Pages (otherwise, SERPs). So, all you need to finally get down to free SEO strategy planning and the actual implementation is to complete the main setup in your SC. Should you have any complications over there, don’t hesitate to quickly run through some basic user guides to that point.

Tier Three: SC Checkup

Now it’s time to finally bring Google’s Search Console into action. I mean here that you should check your website or blog pages for the most common issues like crawl errors, missing or improperly optimized metadata, duplicate content, and other major technical consideration. That way, make sure to pay attention to the primary data about search rankings, Click-Through Rate, visibility for the main target keywords you’re optimizing for, and so on. Doing so, don’t’ forget to spot-check the most frequent redirect problems. More specifically, I recommend checking yourself for 302 wrong redirects, which are actually meant to be 301s. Why fixing your 302 redirects is that crucial? Simply because they are interpreted by Google search engine as just temporary redirects (i.e., for site maintenance or, say, some time-specific promotions/tailored landings), which keep their overall SEO value without passing anything to the relative newly-created destination. So, you need to take a moment to make sure your permanent 301 redirects are all in place so that the whole SEO value is successfully transferred from the old web page to the currently valid one. That’s it.

Tier Four: Fixing Link-Related Issues

Let’s face it – the larger site you have, the higher chances of having broken links, errors, and crawl problems you will get. Taken in general, this type of related issues makes it harder for Google to locate your content, scan it, complete the indexing procedure, and therefore successfully drive the right volume of organic search traffic that you deserve with it. To identify the most underlying issues and any other potential link-related malfunctions, you will need to run an in-depth checkup procedure and analyze every corner of your internal link structure, in line with having a deep-delve into your external link profile (otherwise, SEO backlinks). To get everything in place to that point without spending too much time/effort, you will need to run a complete website audit using one of the following online platforms and toolkits, such as Moz’s Open Site Explorer (with its handy user interface, even the basic version by Moz team available in open access can help you with a fully self-sufficient analytical website research), Semalt Website Analyzer (this broad online analytical platform by Semalt team is definitely worth using, or at least having a try, simply because it works pretty well not only for quick-spot checkup of your own online performance, but can serve you equally well for spying on your competitor’s websites – all you need to access the best SEO findings/link sources employed by your top successful rivals is simply entering a given website URL or domain name and run a quick-scan procedure), or Screaming Frog SEO Spider (this well-known online toolkit is really popular among all – both novice site owners, and professional webmasters having big-time experience in the industry). After all, arguably any popular analytical solution is most likely to fit at least your basic needs/requirements to web analysis – so it’s only up to you which one to pick.
